Our first aerial view of All-In-One, taken approximately 1975. The left half of the cream building in the foreground was the original 1971 building. Of the four greenhouses shown, the two on the left are the originals. The two on the right later housed the franchise 'Cascade Water Gardens' in the 80's. 'Back in the days' in the late 70's we think... a view of the front beds looking towards where our covered area is today.Aerial shot taken in 1981, this photo shows the addition of the main shop greenhouse (alongside the extended carpark. The entrance was still at the front of the original building.Taken in the early 80's showing the original building and entrance to the left. Although now extended, this building is still part of our centre today and houses Expresso's and Seasons Restaurant.Approximately 1984 - this is a shot of the old patio area which used to house our first aquatic department. Today, it is our covered seasonal plant area. This photo was taken back in the mid 80's. Some of the people in this photo still work at the garden centre today - do you recognise who? This was taken early 1990's after our major 2 million pound rebuild. This view is the area where we later introduced our new Houseplant area and Pet and Aquatics department (looking towards the covered patio from the builders yard). This photo was taken pre 1999. Here you can see the introduction of a new building (to the right of the picture with the clear polycarbonate roof) which was home to houseplants and a new pet & aquatics department.Fabulous aerial shot taken approximately 1999, showing the first phase of our covered plant area, allowing our customers to shop outdoors but under a cover.Aerial shot taken early 2000's showing the extended covered patio which now houses outdoor pots, more plants and some water features. The old conifer display was removed and the whole area was later block paved.

The All-In-One garden centre is a family owned business which has been built up from its humble roots of a transformed foundry tip.  The then husband and wife team, Dave and Beryl Stafford launched the business on 6th March 1971.  Although nurseries and market gardens existed back then, the centre was one of the country's very first purpose built retail garden centres.

In 1988 the business experienced one of its most significant investment and growth periods with a £2 million rebuild.  Extra land was purchased adjacent to the site, the car park increased in size along with the introduction of a brand new coffee shop, this further enhanced the shopping experience that customers know and love at All-In-One.

Since then, a new Houseplant area has been built and a Pet and Aquatics department successfully introduced. In 1999 the first phase of the longer term plan to give customers the opportunity to purchase outdoor plants under a covered area to protect them from inclement weather conditions, was completed when we introduced a large canopy covering the whole patio area.  It has since been extended and is home to seasonal herbs, bedding plants, small trees & shrubs and garden displays to give inspiration and ideas to our customers.  A large selection of outdoor pots and water features can also be found in this area.

All-In-One garden centre today, aims to give our customers a pleasant shopping experience, in a friendly and clean environment.  We pride ourselves on our friendly staff and are well renowned for our 'recently refurbished and modernised restaurant', which enjoys the frequent visits of regular customers.  Our high quality service includes on-line buying, gift wrapping, potting, delivery and after-sales support, including the ability to e-mail us with any problems; our staff are well trained and they have both horticultural and aquatic qualifications.
